In late December 2022, Hyperion Solar signed a long-term supply contract for 1.65GW of modules with a leading US utility developer. It is a milestone for the rapid expansion of the Hyperion brand in the US market.
Hyperion is headquartered in California with established production facilities in the Rayong and Pathum Thani provinces of Thailand. These facilities currently have a 6GW high-efficiency cell capacity and a 2GW module capacity. In 2023, Hyperion will add 7GW of N-type TOPCON cell capacity and 7GW of TOPCON module capacity. Their team is also set to launch a 600W+ N-type TOPCON PV module in the US market in Q4 2023.
To meet US customer bankability needs, Hyperion passed a strict factory audit conducted by Munich Re. This approval provides long-term, back-to-back product warranty insurance for Hyperion’s utility customers. Being insured by Munich Re can significantly help protect a customer’s long-term financial interest, especially those with large-scale, ground-mounted projects.
This 1.65GW supply contract will showcase Hyperion’s high-power and high-quality H1 Series PERC modules with great esthetics, lower degradation, and superior low light performance. U.S. customers can expect low LCOE and better financial returns when choosing Hyperion. These premium PV modules are crafted from advanced manufacturing processes and strict quality control, which ultimately establishes Hyperion as a reliable brand that US customers can trust.
